Bill, you're just a wet nosed kid! My last day of elementary school was in June of 1961 at Wallace School.

On June 7, 1947, I had completed 2nd grade at Parrish School in Hessville, I was
6 years old (soon to be 7) and was on my way to live in S.E. Kentucky for 5 years without plumbing and electricity. |

I left Wallace Jan of 53 and went to Lincoln for 5b and 6th then to Irving for 7th 8th & 9th and finished at Hammond High. I was a mid-termer. My birthday is in March and I started when I was 4 which wouldn't be allowed today.

BobK, do you remember any of the teachers at Lincoln? I remember some of them, such as Mr. Sutter (the only male teacher there, Leona Hickman, Miss Clair(she taught PE and was later a counselor(sp?)at Morton. I also remember Betty Bruckman, Miss KooKan and the hated Edith Johnston. |

I had Mr Sutter for 6th but I can't remember the nice lady I had for 5b. I remember the first day there that I forgot a pencil and Don Baily lent me one. Don lived 3 or 4 houses north of you on Clark I bought the house from his parents after I got married and out of the Army, it must have been about 1968.
