Was outside washing my Jeep and getting ready to head out to Chattanooga on a business trip. My wife was ironing and watching TV. When I came inside for something she told me that an airplane had hit a building in NYC and there was live TV coverage. I was watching this coverage when the second plane hit the other tower and it became very obvious that these were no accidents.

On 9/11/01, I was off from work, so I slept late that morning until I got a telephone call from my sister. She told me to turn on CNN. After she described what had happened, I could not believe my eyes. I kept the tv on all day. By the end of the day, since I am a military veteran, I was expecting to be ordered back on active duty. But the orders never came.

I was working in the projection booth at The Monica 4 plex. I had the only tv in the theater so everybody kept coming up to see the latest. there were very few customers that day!
