THANK YOU! Omigod, that site is AMAZING! Over 1,000 images from Lake County (mostly postcards) ... and they're all neatly organized! I've just started exploring it, with my slow dial-up connection; but have already found photos of Superheater (East Chicago), Schlesinger Realty (owned by my buddy Mort's parents), Lake Dalecarlia, big chemical tanks from the NE corner just north of the Viaduct, American Steel Foundries, the old stone courthouse with its mysterious tower, railroad depots ... AMAZING!
