Here's the two E-Mail addresses of Max that I have:
1. mschmid@rcn.com
2. manager@sheptapes.com (Schmidco)
Which one are you having problems with? |

Thank you Discojoe..Believe it or not, both of your links cause a "Windows-type" grey box to pop up with the blue bar on top.In the greay is an explanation mark and the word TOPIC..I have never experienced this on any other site/address,etc,(and I am in contact with some very hi security sites at times due to my occupation/friends..
I had contact with Mr Schmid until maybe 8-10 months ago.......
FWIW, I have even tried my CPU at JPMChase, and there I get the warning it is an "invalid address", but that may be the internal corporate firewall..

Bob, I think it must be something w/your computer, because I just clicked on my own links & received the New Message Forms on both. It may be a firewall issue. |

Bob,no wonder why they call it AOHell[}:)]! Hope you're able to contact Max & order great stuff from him, like I do. I ordered the two new Shep syndicated CD sets & a MP3 of the '67 Limelight shows from him recently & they came promptly. It's great that Max has a online cataloge now. As for your quest to get Jean Shepherd's America & the other PBS shows on DVD, it's a shame that WGBH dosn't release them on DVD, especially w/the potential tie in with ACS. I think the problem may not be whose cereal Shep p**sed in, but who now owns the rights to Shep's work. I believe I commented on this in a previous post, but whoever Shep appointed to be his literary executor seems to have not done anything to maximise the value of Shep's estate by doing things such as licensing shows such as Jean Shepherd's America, putting out books w/unpublished material (we know that there are Playboy stories that have never been published in book form) or even released anything from the stash of his radio shows that he may or may not have had in his possession. I'm not saying that Shep's estate could be as profitable as Elvis', but using ACS as a "hook", I think that more of Shep's stuff could be released for our benefit & make a profit for the estate |
